OUR WINEMAKER
With three generations of winemaking behind him, Fortunate Land's Chief Winemaker James McDonald, together with his family, has been bringing premium quality Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from Marlborough to the world since the 1970s.
With his degree in Oenology and Viticulture from Lincoln University and having completed many vintages overseas, James has an uncompromising commitment to producing world-class wine and utilizes a combination of classic wine-making techniques with Modern-day practices to harvest and produce the best wine that the Marlborough region has to offer.
